Embrace the Richness of Your Creative Power

August 9, 2022

I just spent a weekend sharing songs and breaking bread upstate with everyone’s favorite Earth activist-choir: Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping.

I got to visit White Feather Farm in Woodstock, and Mumbet’s Freedom Farm in Massachusetts. Elizabeth Mumbet Freeman was an enslaved African woman who was the first to successfully sue for her freedom in Massachusetts in 1781. That one action led to a legacy of reverence for liberation and land that continues to this day.

I got to see up close all the moving parts that go into creating and sustaining these endeavors at scale: a multi-arts theater hosting several events a month, an 11 acre farm, a 30 person choir.

I am in AWE. I am thankful for all the moving parts that went into making all this possible!

Private 1:1 Sessions

After two years largely cooped up indoors, I feel like the slingshot has now been released. Stay tuned for upcoming events!

I feel that intense energy gaining momentum in me and all around me this year, and see evidence of it in the communities and clients I work with.

Astrologically, we’re in the midst of the Lions Gate portal: a phenomenon of cosmic / spiritual transfiguration.

Traditionally, it’s a time that signifies becoming “larger than life” in the sense of walking into a greater sense of purpose, shining your light, and owning your brilliance in a way that causes others to see you anew.

If you are looking to harness this energy within you, release emotional blockages, and embrace the richness of your creative power, I now have slots open for private online 1:1 sessions.

Purchase a 1:1 program here.

Bring me to your town, school, cultural arts center, home! I give workshops, interactive performances, and keynote speeches grounded in the intersections of:

  • creativity and play
  • intra / interpersonal connection and community-building
  • spiritual consciousness, mindset, and mindfulness practices

Email me at lushtongue@gmail.com and let’s set up an event.

My work serves holistic-oriented women committed to moving beyond fear and emotional stuckness to voice their truth, expressive arts enthusiasts whose souls are deeply nourished by community vocal rituals, spiritual eclectics who embrace wisdom from a wide variety of sources, or some combination of these.

Through structured group improvisation and vocal embodiment practices, I facilitate sound healing sessions, workshops, private vocal empowerment coaching, retreats, and concerts that “a-ha!” you to new levels of self-discovery, emotional freedom, joy and creative flow. I am a partner artist at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute as a core member of the vocal improvisation ensemble, Moving Star.
